Error in the article - which I have corrected. China, not the United States, has the largest manufacturing production.

[edit]

Since 2014 China, not the United States, has had the largest manufacturing production. However, the article listed the United States above China in the top five manufacturing countries. I have corrected the error.2A02:C7E:1CC3:8A00:50D4:6471:B243:9DE5 (talk) 19:56, 14 October 2021 (UTC) The five "Largest Manufacturers" also lists Germany above Japan - in reality Japan has larger manufacturing output than Germany. Overall the section, which says it is from a study by Deloittes, is just a mess - the whole section should be deleted. Chinese manufacturing is not smaller than the United States and Japanese manufacturing production is not smaller than that of Germany - and the United States and Germany are certainly not "more competitive" than China and Japan. The whole section is wildly misleading for general readers.2A02:C7E:1CC3:8A00:50D4:6471:B243:9DE5 (talk) 20:04, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The figures are out of date. Badly need updating.

[edit]

The manufacturing output figures given for the United States are from 2019 - the figures for 2020 must be out by now. And the figures for Japan are from 2018 - which is absurd given it is now 2022.2A02:C7E:1CA8:CE00:1896:E118:CC65:53AD (talk) 20:53, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Add the EU?

[edit]

Can we add the EU as a whole to the list for comparison? Newme (talk) 07:35, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Manufacturing output figures still badly out of date.

[edit]

It is now May 2024 and the article lists American manufacturing output for 2021 - the figures for some other countries are also out of date, but for major nations the American figures are the most out of date. 2A02:C7C:E183:AC00:60E1:9BC9:93D1:5E30 (talk) 21:11, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this article is not protected so you are completely welcome to find newer sources and update it! You may want to use Wikipedia:Find your source (which I highly recommend) to find these newer sources. Lakwat (talk) 17:22, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The source given lists the most recent data for U.S. manufacturing output as 2021 (though this article states that it's 2024 because it has been messed up by some clowns again). If you'd update anything that isn't verified by the World Bank list, you should give a reference specifically for the country this applies to. Maxeto0910 (talk) 13:19, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

List of countries by manufacturing output

[edit]

The list is completely messed up again. If someone wants to correct it according to the source given, it'd be appreciated. Maxeto0910 (talk) 13:21, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
